Theeere baaack!!!

Since I figured out how to replicate objects within Xenodream, I'm now able to set up all the pieces and preview them prior to rendering, saving me the need to composite in Photoshop.

I worked into the small hours last night making this, then left it to render at poster size (6000x9000). Took about 8 hours to reach what you see here. I should explain that Xenodream renders pixels rather than vertices or rays, hence the raggedy and transparent areas where there were insufficient numbers of pixels rendered to form a surface. Using the lighting rig reveals where the gaps and holes are, and there are some tools in there to allow you to tidy up renders by removing stray pixels and filiing holes and pits, but I use those only sparingly, as overuse leads to unwanted side-effects like over-smoothed joins and bevelling around the edges of objects.

Only very simple lighting used, with some reflection added. I also pushed the scene depth to the maximum, hence it is somewhat darker than my previous pieces.

I don't know about you, but I quite like this as it is, the white void suits the design in my view.
